Product Description

The General Electric WR50X10108 Refrigerator Freezer Defrost Thermostat monitors evaporator temperature conditions and regulates the defrost circuit operation. It works through a temperature-sensitive switch mechanism that opens or closes the electrical circuit based on detected evaporator temperatures, controlling current flow to the defrost heater assembly. The thermostat is installed near the evaporator coil inside the freezer compartment, where it interfaces with the wiring harness and defrost system components through designated clips and connector points. Installation Steps
