Installation Steps

Step 1: The Microwave is disconnected from the electrical outlet: Before starting this repair, the microwave is detached from the wall socket.

Step 2: The back panel of your microwave is taken off: Begin by utilizing a Phillips-head screwdriver to take out the screws securing the back panel of your microwave. The panel is carefully lifted to access the internal components.

Step 3: The current thermostat is identified: The owner's manual is referred to in order to find and recognize the current thermostat. It will be linked to the control board through two wires.

Step 4: The wires are detached: The two wires are gently removed from the current thermostat, ensuring it is noted which wire corresponds to each port on the thermostat.

Step 5: The current thermostat is extracted: The screws that secure the thermostat are removed, and it is carefully taken out of the microwave.

Step 6: The new thermostat is positioned: The mounting holes of the new thermostat are aligned with those on the microwave and secured in position.

Step 7: The wires are reattached: The two wires are connected to their respective terminals on the new thermostat, ensuring they match the connections from the old thermostat.

Step 8: The back panel is refitted: The rear panel is carefully placed back and fastened using the screws that were previously removed.

Step 9: The microwave is reconnected: After finishing the repair, the microwave is plugged back into the electrical outlet, and it should now function correctly with the new thermostat.
