The General Electric WB21X489 Range Thermostat controls the temperature inside of the oven by sensing the amount of heat in the cooker cavity and turning heating circuits on and off. It works by a sensor and a control linkage, which activates to produce an on/off response to perform the desired setpoint. It is mounted in a different compartment behind the control panel and is linked to wiring harnesses, which are linked to heating elements and safety systems.
