Product Description

The Whirlpool W11220230 Washer Water Inlet Valve efficiently controls water flow into your washing machine, ensuring optimal performance. This essential component regulates hot and cold water by opening and closing its internal solenoids based on the washer's cycle settings. As the machine operates, the valve allows precise amounts of water to enter the drum, preventing overflow or inadequate filling. Its precise water control enhances washing efficiency, maintains proper water levels, and helps your laundry cycle run smoothly. Designed for compatibility with select Whirlpool models, it ensures proper water distribution, leading to effective cleaning and better washing results.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord of your Whirlpool Washer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The water supply valves located near the washer should be shut off.

Step 3: Both hoses that connect the water inlet valve to the rear of the washer should be detached. Should there be any leftover water in the hoses or the washer, it should be emptied into a bucket or another container.

Step 4: The screws/bolts securing the water inlet valve should be taken out and it should be gently extracted from the washer.

Step 5: The new W11220230 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Valve should be positioned in the same location as the previous one, ensuring all connections are tight.

Step 6: The hoses from the water inlet valve to the back of the washer should be reattached.

Step 7: The water supply valves should be reactivated and several buckets of water should be allowed to flow into the washer to inspect for any leaks.

Step 8: After confirming there are no leaks, the power cord should be reconnected to the wall outlet and the washer should be operated to verify it is functioning properly.

Please note that these instructions should serve as general guidance and should always be followed in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if it is accessible.
