Installation Steps

Step 1: The dryer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet prior to starting the repair procedure.

Step 2: The dryer door should be opened and the lint filter should be taken out.

Step 3: The two screws located at the top of the ductwork that leads to the blower wheel should be taken out. The ductwork should be removed and placed aside.

Step 4: Accessing the interior of the dryer, the wiring harness should be disconnected from the fan motor.

Step 5: A flathead screwdriver should be used to detach the blower wheel from the motor shaft.

Step 6: After the blower wheel has been taken out, the new Y303836 Whirlpool Dryer Blower Wheel should be found.

Step 7: The new blower wheel should be positioned onto the motor shaft and fastened using a flathead screwdriver.

Step 8: The wiring harness should be reattached to the fan motor.

Step 9: The ductwork should be reinstalled onto the top of the blower wheel and the two screws should be tightened.

Step 10: Lastly, the lint filter should be placed back in and the dryer should be reconnected to the power source.

The Y303836 Whirlpool Dryer Blower Wheel has now been successfully replaced!
