Installation Steps

Step 1: Your refrigerator should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and all shelves and bins should be taken out from the bottom door.

Step 2: A screwdriver should be employed to unscrew and take off the two screws that hold the lower section of the ice bin door in place.

Step 3: The lower section of the door should be gently pulled away from the upper section of the door.

Step 4: After the lower part of the door has been taken off, tweezers should be utilized to remove the broken or damaged GE WR71X24976 Bottom Ice Door Bin from the back of the lower section of the door.

Step 5: The new GE WR71X24976 Bottom Ice Door Bin should be positioned into the back of the lower section of the door.

Step 6: The lower section of the door should be aligned with the upper portion of the door and fastened using the two screws that were previously taken out.

Step 7: The shelves and bins should be reinstalled back into the refrigerator.

Step 8: Your refrigerator should be reconnected to the power source and any food that may have been taken out during the repair should be returned.
