Installation Steps

Step 1: The electricity to the water heater is to be disconnected. Either the device is to be unplugged or the circuit breaker is to be switched off.

Step 2: The immersion heating element is to be identified. It is typically positioned near the bottom of the water heater tank.

Step 3: The metal cover that secures the element is to be detached. This may involve a metal strap, screw, or bolt, depending on the model.

Step 4: The element is to be gently extracted from the tank. Additional parts such as wires and clips might need to be removed to gain access to the element.

Step 5: The tank is to be examined for any indications of sediment or mineral accumulation. If any is detected, it is to be eliminated using a wet-dry vacuum and a brush prior to fitting the new element.

Step 6: The old gasket is to be removed and a new one that matches in size and shape is to be placed.

Step 7: The new GE WR29X10109 CUP FILL IMMERSION HEATING ELEMENT is to be positioned. It is to be ensured that the wiring is connected as specified in the manual.

Step 8: The element is to be fastened to the tank using the metal cover.

Step 9: Power to the water heater is to be restored.

Please note that these instructions are to serve as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual when available.
