Installation Steps

Step 1: Your refrigerator should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The bypass filter assembly situated on the rear wall of the refrigerator should be found.

Step 3: The two screws securing the filter should be taken out and the filter should be removed.

Step 4: The new filter (GE WR17X22070 MWF BYPASS FILTER) should be obtained and inserted into the filter assembly, ensuring the arrow on the filter is aligned with the arrow on the filter assembly.

Step 5: The filter should be fastened by reattaching the two screws.

Step 6: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the electrical outlet.

Step 7: The water filter indicator light (if applicable) should be reset following the manufacturer's guidelines.
