Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from the outlet and, if necessary, shifted away from the wall.

Step 2: The door should be gently opened and the current latch cover should be detached by removing the two screws located at the bottom corners of the latch cover.

Step 3: The new latch cover should be retrieved and the screw holes should be aligned accordingly.

Step 4: The new cover should be positioned over the old one and it should be fastened securely with the two screws.

Step 5: It should be verified that the latch cover is firmly attached and correctly aligns with the door.

Step 6: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the outlet and the latch cover should be tested by softly tugging on the door to ensure it opens and closes as intended.

Step 7: If everything functions correctly, the GE WR02X23032 latch cover has been successfully substituted!
