The Whirlpool WPW10627711 Dryer Relay is an electrical switching component that activates and deactivates the start sequence by controlling the flow of power to the motor circuit. It is mounted on the control panel, or main control board assembly of the dryer and is connected to push-to-start inputs and internal wiring connections. The relay is programmed to open and close electrical contacts when proper control signals are provided so that the proper circuit connection can be accomplished. It assists in proper motor activation and regular drying operation of the appliance.
