Installation Steps

Step 1: Prior to starting, it should ensure that all necessary tools and materials are ready. The following items will be required to carry out this repair: new water drain pump, pliers, adjustable wrench, slip joint pliers, flat-head screwdriver, Phillips-head screwdriver. Subsequently, the washer should be disconnected from its electrical outlet and the water supply should be turned off. To accomplish this, the valves linked to the inlet hose from the wall or floor should be closed. After that, the inlet and outlet hoses should be detached from the pump.

Step 2: The washer lid should be lifted and a Phillips-head screwdriver should be utilized to take out the two screws situated at the upper section of the back panel. Then, the panel should be slightly slid upward and carefully lifted off.

Step 3: With the back panel removed, access to the old water drain pump will now be available. A flat-head screwdriver should be employed to loosen the clamp securing the pump. Once it is loose, it should be slid off and the old pump should be disposed of.

Step 4: The new pump should be inserted into position, ensuring that the hose connections of the new pump are aligned in the same direction as those of the old pump. The adjustable wrench should be utilized to secure the clamp that keeps the pump fixed.

Step 5: The inlet and outlet hoses should be reconnected to the pump and the washer should be plugged back into its electrical outlet. Finally, the back panel and the screws should be reattached to the washer.
