Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from the power source prior to initiating any maintenance procedures.

Step 2: The rear of the refrigerator should be moved towards and the LED light module should be identified – it can be found at the upper-back of the refrigerator compartment, and the refrigerator might need to be pulled out from the wall for better access.

Step 3: The screws that fasten the light module to the steel chassis of the refrigerator should be carefully taken out.

Step 4: After the screws are taken out, the module should be gently elevated to access the rear of the unit. Once revealed, two white plastic tabs will be visible, securing the light in its housing.

Step 5: With caution, the tabs should be pressed down on using a flat head screwdriver to detach them from the unit.

Step 6: Once the tabs are detached, the LED light should be carefully extracted and disposed of in a landfill-safe container.

Step 7: The new LED light should be placed into the housing, ensuring it is completely seated and securely attached.

Step 8: The two white plastic tabs should be reinserted to secure the new LED in position.

Step 9: The light module should be gently pressed down on and reattached using the screws that were initially removed.

Step 10: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the power source and turned on. The new LED bulb should be verified as functioning correctly.
