Installation Steps

Step 1: The water supply to the appliance is to be disabled. The inlet valve is identified and rotated counterclockwise until it is completely closed.

Step 2: The inlet hose is detached from the water valve. The clamp securing the hose to the water valve is unscrewed, then the hose is pulled away.

Step 3: The screws securing the valve are taken out. The valve is gently extracted and disposed of.

Step 4: The new valve is positioned. The O-ring is ensured seated properly in its groove without any twists or bends.

Step 5: The inlet hose is reattached to the new valve. The clamp is firmly tightened.

Step 6: The shutoff valve is rotated clockwise to restore the water supply. The new valve's functionality is verified by operating the appliance for a few minutes. If the water flow appears normal, the water valve replacement is considered successful.
