Installation Steps

Step 1: The freezer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet to confirm that no power is flowing through the appliance while the repair is performed.

Step 2: The screws that secure the wire shelf should be identified. Typically, these screws will be found at the bottom of the shelf; however, if your model features a slide-out track for the shelf, the screws will need to be found on the track itself. A Phillips head screwdriver should be utilized to take out the screws.

Step 3: After all screws have been taken out, the old shelf should be able to be slid out. Be sure to observe the orientation of the shelf to ensure the new one is installed in the same manner.

Step 4: The new shelf should be inserted and the Phillips screwdriver should be employed to put the screws back in place. The screws should be ensured secure, but over-tightening them should be avoided.

Step 5: The freezer should be reconnected to the power source and you’re finished!
