Installation Steps

Step 1: The power to the refrigerator should be disconnected. It should ensure that the power is entirely off before the swap is moved forward with. This can be achieved by unplugging the refrigerator from the outlet or switching off the circuit breaker linked to it.

Step 2: The bottom grille plate should be taken off. A Phillips screwdriver should be utilized to take out the three screws holding the bottom grille plate on the refrigerator’s exterior.

Step 3: The hinge pin should be detached. With the same screwdriver, the hinge pin should be detached to take off the top hinge plate and the cam plate.

Step 4: The new door cam should be positioned. The new door cam should be set at the end of the bottom hinge plate and fastened with the hinge pin.

Step 5: The bottom grille plate should be reattached. The grille plate should be aligned at the base of the refrigerator. It should be fastened with the three screws using the Phillips screwdriver.

Step 6: The power should be restored. The power to the refrigerator should be reactivated to check the new door cam. To do this, the refrigerator should be plugged back in or the circuit breaker should be switched back on.

Step 7: The door alignment should be verified. It should be confirmed that the door seals effectively when closed. If it aligns properly, then the swap has been completed.
