Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to the oven should be turned off. The residence's fuse box should be found and the circuit breaker that supplies electricity to the kitchen appliances should be deactivated.

Step 2: Depending on the type of oven, it may be necessary for the stove to be shifted away from the wall to reach the rear of the oven. For electric ranges, the oven door should be opened to access the interior. For gas ovens, the burner grates along with their assembly should be detached.

Step 3: The WPW10310274 Whirlpool bake element situated at the back of the oven should be identified. A socket wrench should be employed to loosen and take out the screws that attach the element to the rear wall of the oven. Afterward, the two (2) electrical connectors found at the end of the element should be disconnected. The bake element should now be easy to take out.

Step 4: The new WPW10310274 Whirlpool bake element should be gently positioned into the back wall of the oven. The element should be fastened using the screws that were removed in Step 3. The two (2) electrical connectors should be reconnected to the end of the bake element.

Step 5: The bake element is generally a simple process to change, but the wiring connection should be verified after installation. The circuit breaker at the fuse box should be reactivated and the oven’s heating element should be checked. If the oven heats correctly, fantastic! The WPW10310274 Whirlpool bake element has been successfully replaced! Once completed, everything should be reassembled.
