Installation Steps

Step 1: The appliance should be disconnected from the power source and the water supply should be shut off. The water supply lines should be detached from the rear of the washing machine.

Step 2: The top panel of the machine should be taken off by loosening the screws positioned at the back of the washer.

Step 3: The valve-inlet should be identified. This component is typically situated near the bottom of the appliance, adjacent to the water inlet valve.

Step 4: The two screws securing the valve-inlet to the washer should be removed. The wires might need to be followed back to confirm that the correct component is being detached.

Step 5: The valve-inlet should be extracted and the two wires should be disconnected by taking off the terminal clip.

Step 6: The new valve-inlet should be positioned by reversing the order of the steps outlined above. It should be confirmed that the screws are threaded in securely and the terminal clips connected to the wires should be firmly inserted into their designated slots.

Step 7: The water supply lines should be reattached to the rear of the washer, the power should be reconnected, and the water supply should be turned on. Your Whirlpool WPW10279866 VALVE-INLT has now been successfully replaced.
