Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from the power source and the defective sensor identified. Typically, it can be found behind the control panel on the rear side of the refrigerator.

Step 2: A Phillips head screwdriver should be employed to take out the screws that secure the panel.

Step 3: The panel should be gently pulled away from the wall and the electrical connections detached from the rear of the control panel.

Step 4: A socket wrench should be utilized to extract the sensor from its bracket.

Step 5: The new sensor should be positioned into the bracket and fastened using the socket wrench.

Step 6: The wiring should be reconnected to the control panel and then the panel cautiously replaced back into position.

Step 7: The panel should be fastened using the screws that were removed previously.

Step 8: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the power source and the power switched on.
