Installation Steps

Step 1: Prior to initiating the replacement, it should ensure that the power to your appliance is turned off and the gas line is shut off at the meter. Any hoses linked to the gas valve should be detached before moving forward with the task.

Step 2: The screws securing the old valve should be taken out and it should be gently pulled out. The bracket that secures it within the appliance should be unscrewed before it is fully removed.

Step 3: The new valve should be positioned in the location previously held by the old one. The bracket should be firmly fastened to ensure it remains secure. The hoses should be attached and tightened as required. The wires that were disconnected during the removal of the old valve should be reconnected.

Step 4: The appliance should be activated and gas should be allowed to flow through the new valve. It should be confirmed that there are no leaks and that everything operates correctly. If everything checks out, the gas meter can be turned back on and power to the appliance can be restored.

Congratulations, a Whirlpool WPW10206287 VALVE-BRNR has now been successfully swapped!
