Installation Steps

Step 1: The dryer is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The lint filter is removed from within the dryer to reveal the screws securing the top panel.

Step 3: The screws are taken out from the top panel, then a flathead screwdriver is utilized to detach the top panel.

Step 4: The wheel-timer unit positioned towards the back of the dryer is identified and the electrical leads are detached by pulling them from the timer.

Step 5: The fastening screws that hold the wheel-timer unit in place inside the dryer are unscrewed.

Step 6: The wheel-timer unit is extracted from the dryer.

Step 7: The new wheel-timer unit is obtained, the electrical leads are found, and they are connected to the timer.

Step 8: The wheel-timer unit is fastened to the interior of the dryer using the mounting screws.

Step 9: The top panel is positioned back onto the dryer and the screws are reinserted.

Step 10: The lint filter is reinserted into the opening.

Step 11: The dryer is reconnected to the electrical outlet.

The Whirlpool WPW10195417 wheel-timer has now been successfully replaced.
