Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the Refrigerator. Prior to starting, it should ensure that the refrigerator is disconnected from the power source to prevent any electrical current to the unit.

Step 2: Clear Ice Bins and Dispenser. All ice should be taken out from the ice maker bins, and the contents should be removed from the ice dispenser.

Step 3: Detach Water Supply Line. The inlet water line where it joins to the wall behind the refrigerator should be identified. The supply line should be detached by squeezing the quick connect coupling and pulling it away from the inlet.

Step 4: Take Out Ice Maker. The fasteners at the back of the refrigerator that secure the ice maker should be unscrewed. Then, the ice maker should be carefully pulled out from the rear of the refrigerator.

Step 5: Position New Ice Maker. The new ice maker assembly should be placed into the back of the refrigerator. The ice maker should be fastened with the screws that were taken out in Step 4.

Step 6: Reattach Water Supply Line. The inlet water line should be reconnected to the new ice maker assembly.

Step 7: Reconnect Power to Refrigerator. The refrigerator's power cord should be inserted into a grounded outlet.
