Product Description

The Whirlpool WPW10112954 Dryer Drive Belt transfers motor power to the drum, enabling rotation. The belt wraps around the drum and motor pulley. As the motor spins, the belt pulls the drum, causing it to tumble. This component allows for efficient drying cycles and helps maintain consistent drum rotation. The WPW10112954 extends the dryer's service life and ensures proper clothes drying.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The Washer is Disconnected: Prior to starting any repair tasks, it is ensured that the washer is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The Front Panel is Taken Off: Utilizing a Phillips screwdriver, the screws found at the bottom corners of the washer's front panel are taken out. After the screws are removed, the panel is carefully lifted away from the washer.

Step 3: The Old Belt is Examined and Removed if Necessary: The current belt is thoroughly examined to ascertain whether it requires replacement. If signs of being broken or damaged are shown by the belt, it must be removed. To do this, both ends of the belt are grasped and it is slid off the motor pulleys.

Step 4: The New Belt is Positioned: The new belt is grasped and arranged around both motor pulleys. It is ensured that the belt remains untwisted before proceeding.

Step 5: The Front Panel is Reattached: After the new belt is successfully installed, the front panel is reattached to the washer, confirming that all four screws are tightly secured.

Step 6: The Washer is Reconnected: The washer can now be reconnected to the electrical outlet and switched on. The repair process is now finished!
