Product Description

The Whirlpool WP9871099 is not an air filter, but rather a cover for an air freshener chamber found in some Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Maytag trash compactors. This compactor's little, black plastic lid clamps into the specified location, usually close to the top. It does not actively filter air, but it is essential to keeping your compactor smelling nice. The lid allows you to insert a store-bought air freshener cartridge behind it, eliminating any unpleasant trash odors that may occur.
