Installation Steps

Step 1: The Range is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The screws holding the rear panel of the oven are taken out to reach the igniter.

Step 3: The old igniter is gently detached from the connector and the wiring setup is observed.

Step 4: The new Whirlpool WP9758079 ignitor is inserted into the connector. It is ensured that it is firmly attached.

Step 5: The new ignitor is fastened using the screws that were taken out in Step 2.

Step 6: The range is reconnected and the oven is activated to verify that the new ignitor is functioning correctly. If it isn't, the wiring setup is reviewed.

Step 7: Any grease or dirt is wiped off from the outside of the oven after the new part is installed.

Step 8: The rear panel is reattached and the screws are tightened.
