Installation Steps

Step 1: The washer’s power cord should be disconnected from the outlet. The back panel of the washer should be removed by loosening the screws found at the bottom with the Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 2: The four Torx screws situated on top of the transmission cover should be unscrewed with a Torx screwdriver and the cover should be gently lifted off.

Step 3: The two bolts fixed to the base of the transmission should be detached using a socket set. The transmission should be carefully pivoted away from the housing to take it out.

Step 4: The wiring harness linked to the bottom of the transmission should be unplugged. After disconnection, the old gasket should be slid off and disposed of.

Step 5: A small amount of lubricant should be put on the edges of the new gasket. This will assist in creating a better seal between the transmission and the housing.

Step 6: The new gasket should be fastened to the transmission with the slip-joint pliers.

Step 7: The wiring harness should be reattached and the transmission should be carefully positioned back into the housing, ensuring the gasket aligns correctly.

Step 8: The four Torx screws should be reinserted and secured tightly to keep the transmission in place.

Step 9: The back panel of the washer should be refitted and the screws should be tightened firmly.

Step 10: The washer should be reconnected to the power outlet and the washer should be tested to confirm it is functioning properly.
