Step 1: Begin by assembling all required tools and materials to swap out the Whirlpool WP91939 SEAL-SHAFT. This collection includes a Phillips screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, pliers, a putty knife, lubricant, and a replacement seal-shaft for the Whirlpool.

Step 2: The washer's lid should be found and removed to access the washer's interior.

Step 3: The Phillips screwdriver should be employed to take out the six screws securing the agitator.

Step 4: After the screws have been taken out, the agitator should be gently lifted off the top of the washer. Assistance should be had during this process.

Step 5: With the agitator taken away, the seal-shaft located beneath the washer should be identified. It is typically found towards the rear of the washer between the agitator and the motor.

Step 6: The flat-head screwdriver or pliers should be utilized to gently pry the old seal-shaft from the top of the washer and place it aside.

Step 7: The new seal-shaft should be coated with lubricant and inserted into the washer, ensuring it is correctly aligned.

Step 8: The seal-shaft should be fastened in position with the Phillips screwdriver.

Step 9: Lastly, the agitator should be reattached with the six screws and the putty knife. Confirmation that the agitator is securely in place should be made before the lid on the washer is replaced.
