Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply of your Whirlpool washing machine should be disconnected prior to starting any repairs to prevent electric shock.

Step 2: A Phillips screwdriver should be utilized to take out the screws on the rear of the top access panel that conceals the agitator, then the panel should be detached.

Step 3: A flathead screwdriver should be employed to take out the retaining clips that hold the agitator securely.

Step 4: The agitator should be elevated from the washer and placed aside.

Step 5: The impeller, situated at the center of the wash plate under the agitator, should be identified.

Step 6: With a flathead screwdriver, the two screws that fasten the impeller in position should be removed.

Step 7: The impeller should be gently extracted and disposed of.

Step 8: The new impeller should be positioned into the center of the wash plate and fastened using the two screws.

Step 9: The agitator should be returned to the washer and the retaining clips should be reattached.

Step 10: The back access panel should be reinstalled and secured using the screws that were removed earlier.

Step 11: Power should be restored to the washer and the new impeller's functionality should be verified before initiating a cycle.

Please note that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be followed in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
