Installation Steps

Step 1: To begin, power to your Whirlpool appliance should be disconnected by either unplugging it from the electrical outlet or switching off the circuit breaker.

Step 2: The appliance door should be accessed and the thermostat, which is situated behind the control panel towards the rear and is probably secured with two screws, should be identified.

Step 3: With a Phillips head screwdriver, the two screws that hold the thermostat in position should be taken out.

Step 4: The faulty thermostat should be gently extracted and the wires from both ends should be detached.

Step 5: Your new Whirlpool WP8557403 THRMST-FIX should be obtained and installed in the same location as the previous one.

Step 6: The wires should be reattached and the thermostat should be fastened using the two screws.

Step 7: The last step is to verify the thermostat for correct functionality.

Step 8: If the thermostat operates as expected, the appliance cover should be reinstalled and power to the appliance should be reestablished.

Please note that these instructions are served as general guidance and should always be referenced alongside the manufacturer's manual, if it exists.
