Product Description

The Whirlpool WP8286815 Range Surface Burner Head is an essential component of your gas range, responsible for evenly spreading gas and producing a steady flame for cooking. This burner head has tiny holes or slots that let gas pass through, and it is positioned underneath the burner grate. The gas valve opens when you turn on a burner knob, allowing gas to enter the burner head through the supply line. When the gas reaches the head, it flows out of the pre-marked holes and ignites the spark igniter to create a regulated flame that spans the burner grate. For the best cooking results, a burner head that functions properly guarantees a uniform and effective heat distribution.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to the stove should be deactivated. This entails the power being disconnected at the circuit breaker for safety purposes.

Step 2: Any burner grates obstructing access should be taken away.

Step 3: The burner should be carefully extracted from the Whirlpool so it is detached from its metal ring.

Step 4: The screws located at the rear of the metal ring should be removed. Four screws need to be taken out.

Step 5: After the screws are removed, the burner should be gently elevated from the metal ring.

Step 6: The screws located at the back of the burner's head, which is the component requiring replacement, should be unscrewed.

Step 7: The old head should be carefully taken out, ensuring no small parts that may have dislodged are lost during this stage.

Step 8: The new head should be positioned, ensuring all components are properly secured.

Step 9: The head should be reattached onto the burner's stem with screws.

Step 10: The burner should be reinserted into its metal ring and firmly screwed back in place.

Step 11: Any burner grates that may have been removed should be reinstalled.

Step 12: The power at the circuit breaker should be reactivated.

Step 13: It should be verified that the burner functions properly before utilizing it.
