Installation Steps

Step 1: Both the inner and outer doors of your Whirlpool microwave are detached. First, a Phillips screwdriver is utilized to take out the screws situated along the perimeter of the door frames.

Step 2: The door is gently lifted away from the appliance, ensuring that the wiring underneath remains intact. The door is set aside and the top interlock support positioned in the upper left corner of the main unit is found.

Step 3: The two screws that secure the top interlock support to the unit are loosened with a flat head screwdriver and taken out.

Step 4: The interlock support is carefully extracted from the unit and placed aside. Next, the floor jack is positioned beneath the unit to elevate it off the floor.

Step 5: The jack is firmly secured using the ratchet wrench and the unit is cautiously lifted so that it is safely elevated off the ground.

Step 6: Once the unit is raised, the replacement interlock support is found. It is inserted into the slot and the Phillips screwdriver is utilized to fasten it with the screws that held the original support in place.

Step 7: The unit is lowered back to the ground and the doors are reattached using the Phillips screwdriver. It is ensured that all wires are properly positioned out of the way.

Step 8: It is verified that the microwave is functioning correctly.
