The Whirlpool WP8190836 Range Hood Filter captures grease, smoke particles and cooking byproducts in the air passing through the ventilation system of the appliance. It is mounted beneath the range hood intake space between the cooking area and the blower assembly into special filter slots in the hood housing. The filter connects with the airflow path and ventilation system, whereby the air is passed through the mesh layers, and the rest of the grease is left behind. It can be used to maintain the performance of standard cooking and exhaust cycles by keeping the airflow controlled and separating the movement of grease from the airstream.
