Installation Steps

Step 1: It should be confirmed that your oven is entirely disconnected from all power sources prior to initiating the ignitor replacement.

Step 2: The access panel of the oven should be identified, which is typically positioned at the lower section of the appliance.

Step 3: Any visible screws securing the access panel should be removed, then the panel should be slid back to reveal the interior of the oven.

Step 4: The WP7432P136-60 ignitor is generally situated next to the burner gas tube, located within the oven's front panel. The cable linking the ignitor to the oven control board should be detached.

Step 5: The bracket that secures the ignitor should be taken off—this should be close to the point where the cable was connected.

Step 6: The ignitor should be gently reached into the oven and extracted. It will appear as a white porcelain tube featuring two prongs.

Step 7: The new ignitor should be positioned, ensuring that the two prongs fit into the corresponding holes in the oven wall.

Step 8: The ignitor should be fastened using its provided bracket.

Step 9: The cable should be reconnected to the oven control board.

Step 10: The access panel should be placed back and secured using the screws that were originally used to hold it.

Step 11: Power should be restored to the oven and it should be verified that the ignitor operates correctly. If successful, your oven is now ready for operation!
