The Whirlpool WP627843 Refrigerator Expeller Arm folds into the ice maker assembly to mechanically release the ice cubes formed in the ice mold into the ice storage bin. It is placed within the ice maker module and works with the rotating drive mechanism mold tray and ejector teeth to ensure the movement is in step with the extraction cycle. It is with the proper shape of the ice compartment to ensure adequate contact during rotation. During the standard cooling operating cycle the component provides consistent ice release movement and a coordinated timing of the ice.
