Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected and the water supply to the washing machine should be turned off.

Step 2: The top panel of the washer should be removed by loosening the screws situated at the rear of the appliance.

Step 3: The agitator, commonly referred to as the spinning tube, should be detached from the center of the machine by unscrewing the nut found at the base of the agitator.

Step 4: Once the agitator is out, the idler arm should be extracted from its mounting bolts.

Step 5: The new idler arm should be installed in place of the old one and the mounting bolts should be fastened to secure it.

Step 6: The new agitator should be reinserted into the machine and the nut should be tightened firmly at the bottom of the agitator.

Step 7: The top panel of the washer should be repositioned and fastened using the screws.

Step 8: The water supply should be reactivated and the power cord should be plugged back into an electrical outlet.
