Installation Steps

Step 1: The required tools and components will need to be assembled. A Phillips head screwdriver, a 7/16 inch nut driver, and the replacement handle-doo will be needed.

Step 2: The appliance should be disconnected from its electrical outlet.

Step 3: If needed, the console top should be taken off to gain better access to the handle-doo. The Phillips head screwdriver should be utilized to take out the screws.

Step 4: The mounting screws on the handle-doo should be identified. The 7/16 inch nut driver should be employed to extract the screws and they should be placed aside.

Step 5: The handle-doo should be gently pulled away from the washer or dryer. Any wires or cables that might be connected should be detached as well.

Step 6: The old handle-doo should be carefully extracted from the washer or dryer.

Step 7: Any wires or cables should be connected to the new handle-doo with care.

Step 8: The new handle-doo should be installed using the original screws that were taken out.

Step 9: The console top should be reattached, if necessary, and the appliance should be reconnected to its power source.

Step 10: The handle-doo should be verified to confirm it operates properly.
