The Whirlpool WP3404154 Dryer High Limit Thermostat regulates temperature by interrupting electrical continuity to the heating element when internal heat exceeds a predetermined threshold. It is attached to the heater enclosure of the dryer cabinet and is connected to the wiring circuit by spade terminals which have a portion of the safety control loop. It has a temperature mechanism that reacts to heat conditions breaking the circuit. This element is linked with airflow and heating systems to control thermal limits and ensure controlled temperature regulation in normal drying cycles.
