Installation Steps

Step 1: The Washer is Disconnected – Prior to initiating any do-it-yourself (DIY) repair or maintenance procedure, it is ensured that the power supply to your washer is turned off. This precaution will guarantee your safety and prevent electric shocks.

Step 2: The Cabinet is Taken Off – A flat screwdriver is employed to disengage the cabinet clips securing the access panel by pushing down on the upper part of each clip. Next, the back of the panel is tilted upwards and slid forward, removing it from the track.

Step 3: The Wiring Connections are Identified and Unplugged – A flashlight is utilized to find the wiring connections. One will be located on either side of the skirt timer. Each wiring connection is gently unplugged by pressing the release tab and then pulling the connector away from the skirt timer.

Step 4: The Old Skirt Timer is Extracted – The mounting screws are unscrewed from the rear of the old skirt timer and then the timer is pulled out from the washer.

Step 5: The New Skirt Timer is Placed – The new skirt timer is positioned correctly, and then the mounting screws are installed. The wiring connections are reattached.

Step 6: The Cabinet Panels are Fastened – The cabinet panels are reconnected using the flat screwdriver by pressing the upper part of the clip down until the panel is firmly secured.

Step 7: The Skirt Timer is Verified – The washer is reconnected to the power supply and a brief cycle is conducted to confirm that the new skirt timer operates correctly. If all functions as expected, the Whirlpool WP33002346 SKIRT-TIMER has been effectively replaced.
