Product Description

Whirlpool WP312535 Dryer Drum Roller Shaft The washer is a tiny but essential part of your clothes dryer. It's a washer that attaches to the drum support roller shaft of the dryer. The drum can rotate smoothly during the drying cycle because of this shaft that runs down its bottom. Friction between the shaft and the wheels supporting the drum is lessened by the washer itself. If the washer breaks, the wheels could grind on the shaft, making a squeaky noise and perhaps damaging both parts. Replacing a worn-out washer is a relatively simple way to keep your dryer operating silently and extend its life. Notably, the WP312535 is only meant to be used with dryers—not washers—despite its name.
