Product Description
The Whirlpool WP305605 Dryer Gas Valve Solenoid Coil controls the opening and closing of the gas valve in the heating system of the appliance. It is attached directly to the gas valve assembly on the burner compartment and is attached to the electrical harness and valve stem mechanism of the appliance. When used, the coil produces a magnetic field that moves the plunger of the valve to open the way to gas within the burner tube to be ignited. It assists in the regulated flow of gas and the organizational generation of heat during normal dryer heating cycles.
