The Whirlpool WP2196189 Refrigerator End Cap Trim is a basic yet functional component that contributes significantly to the looks and upkeep of your refrigerator. It's a plastic component that slides onto a refrigerator shelf's exposed edge, usually the right side. This trim has multiple uses. Its main benefit is that it gives your refrigerator a polished, clean appearance that improves its aesthetic appeal. It gives the cabinet a consistent, polished look by hiding the unfinished edge. The end cap trim protects the exposed edge from potential damage in addition to being aesthetically pleasing. The edge is susceptible to dents, scratches, and even moisture damage when used often. The edge is shielded from such wear and tear by the trim, which serves as a barrier.
