Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the power supply. Prior to initiating any repairs, it is crucial to confirm that the power supply to your dishwasher is disconnected. Both the circuit breaker and the outlet supplying power to your dishwasher are ensured turned off before advancing with the repair.

Step 2: Open the dishwasher door. Gently and gradually, the dishwasher door is opened, verifying that nothing is blocking the entrance. After the door is opened, the door's sides are grasped and pulled outward until it is entirely detached from the dishwasher's base.

Step 3: Extract the screws. With the door detached, the screws along the inner wall’s sides of the dishwasher that secure the rail-mullion are identified. Employing a Phillips head screwdriver, the screws are unscrewed one by one and taken out of the dishwasher.

Step 4: Withdraw the rail-mullion. The rail-mullion is firmly held and extracted from the dishwasher. While some resistance might be encountered, a steady grip should allow the rail-mullion to come out effortlessly.

Step 5: Position the new rail-mullion. The new rail-mullion is taken and inserted into the dishwasher's opening, ensuring proper alignment. Once positioned, the screws are utilized to secure the rail-mullion to the side of the dishwasher, confirming that the screws are tightened firmly.

Step 6: Reattach the dishwasher door. After the rail-mullion is secured, the dishwasher door is taken and slid back into the dishwasher's base. The screws are firmly fastened back into position and the door is closed.

Step 7: Restore the power supply. Finally, it is verified that the power supply to your dishwasher is switched back on. With the Rail-mullion successfully replaced, your Whirlpool dishwasher is prepared for use!
