The Whirlpool WPW10292551 Range Broiler Pan is used to contain food as it is directly exposed to heat during use. It holds products like meats, vegetables on the broiler element in the oven and lets drippings pass off the food. The broiler pan will be on the oven rack below the broiler and usually will have a slotted upper surface and a bottom drip tray. It keeps food firmly in place, evenly exposes it to radiant heat above and collects juices and fats in the drip part to aid in preventing smoke and outbursts during broiling.
