The Whirlpool Range Door Light Switch WP3196262 is used to turn on the interior light when the appliance door is opened. It is mounted in the door assembly and connected to the lighting circuit and control harness to sense the mechanical changes of position. Depending on the movement of the door, the switch closes the electrical circuit and sends corresponding light circuit signals.
