The Whirlpool W11238400 Range Broil Element produces radiant heat in the top area of the appliance cavity to cook or brown food surfaces when choosing broil mode. It is mounted on the top interior of the oven and attached to support brackets. The resistive heating setup and mounting of the element are such that they facilitate an even heat dispersion towards the cooking space. It is powered in a controlled manner in response to command inputs during normal bake and broil cycles to assist in the creation of specified thermal conditions and surface heating process.
