The Whirlpool W10882138 Washing Machine Pulley conveys the motion of the motor to the drum by running the belt through the appliance mechanism and allows the drum to move easily during wash and spin cycles. It works by rotating as the belt slides over its surface and keeps the belt at the correct tension and alignment to deliver consistent power and minimize slippage and damage during regular laundry operation. It is installed underneath the washing machine within the drive assembly where it interfaces with the belt and motor system.
