The Whirlpool 9706341 Mixer Gearcase Housing is used to hold the internal gear mechanisms to provide motor motion to mixing attachments. It provides the structural frame of the gear assembly and ensures the positioning of gears and bearings and prevents the elements of the components from being protected with debris. This housing is attached to the main part of the mixer between the motor part and the connection point. It maintains the gear system firmly in place during operation whereby the transmission of power is smooth and constant during mixing cycles.
