Installation Steps

Step 1: The washer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: Subsequently, the two clips that secure the end of the drive tube to the motor should be detached.

Step 3: The top panel of the washer should be carefully taken off, then the belt should be unlooped from the motor pulley.

Step 4: The water hose should be unfastened from the inlet valve and the two screws that hold the inlet valve to the cabinet should be taken out.

Step 5: The inlet valve should be elevated from the washer to access the coupling.

Step 6: The WH49X10042 coupling can be found beneath the inlet valve.

Step 7: The coupling should be carefully lifted from the motor shaft, then the three screws that are fastening it to the cabinet should be unscrewed.

Step 8: The new WH49X10042 coupling should be positioned by securing it to the motor shaft, reattaching the three screws, and reinstalling the inlet valve.

Step 9: The belt should be re-looped onto the motor pulley, then the clips that fasten the drive tube to the motor should be reconnected.

Step 10: The water hose should be reattached to the inlet valve and the washer top panel should be reinstalled.

Step 11: Finally, the washer should be plugged back into the electrical outlet, and you're finished!
