The General Electric WH12X10435 Washer Lid Lock controls to secure the appliance lid when it is in operation to make sure that it does not open in the center of the cycle. It is used to work when a wash cycle is activated and to release when it is safe to open the lid and is controlled by an electrically operated mechanism that reacts to the signals of the control board. It is installed at the top of the tube opening of the washer.
