Installation Steps

Step 1: The appliance is disconnected from the electrical outlet. It is shifted away from the wall to gain access to the rear section of the appliance.

Step 2: The screws that secure the control panel to the back of the appliance are taken out with a Phillips-head screwdriver.

Step 3: The control panel is elevated and removed from the appliance, then the lid switch assembly situated on the left side of the opening is found.

Step 4: The two wires from the existing lid switch assembly are detached by squeezing the clips and pulling the wires out.

Step 5: The two screws that are fastening the old lid switch assembly to the machine are taken out.

Step 6: The old lid switch assembly is extracted from the opening.

Step 7: The new lid switch assembly is placed into the opening, ensuring the holes on the assembly are aligned with the holes in the machine.

Step 8: The assembly is fastened with the two screws.

Step 9: The two wires to the new lid switch assembly are reconnected by squeezing the clips and inserting the wires.

Step 10: The control panel is repositioned over the machine and secured with the screws.

Step 11: The appliance is reconnected to the power source and the functionality of the new lid switch assembly is verified.
