Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected to eliminate electricity and avoid inadvertent shocks.

Step 2: The two screws located at the back of the washer should be unscrewed using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 3: The main console should be detached from the washer and gently placed aside.

Step 4: The access plate on the transmission side should be found and the screws holding it in place should be taken out.

Step 5: The belt should be removed from the pulley and the belt guard should be detached.

Step 6: The four screws that hold the clutch should be taken out and the clutch should be pulled from the wet end of the transmission.

Step 7: The new GE WH05X24185 clutch should be positioned and secured with the four screws.

Step 8: The belt, pulley, and access plate should be reattached, then the screws should be inserted.

Step 9: The main console should be reinstalled onto the washer and fastened with the two screws.

Step 10: The power cord should be reconnected, and the task has been completed!
